In 2022, Calgary ranked 28th among the Top 50 North American markets for the second consecutive year in CBRE’s 2022 Scoring Tech Talent report, with tech talent and tech jobs growing by 22% over the past five years.

Looking forward, Alberta’s Technology and Innovation Strategy aims to create 20,000 new jobs and see Alberta’s technology companies generate $5 billion more in annual revenue by 2030.  Between 2021 to 2024, Calgary companies are forecast to spend $7.5 billion on digital transformation.
